So this is my first blog and its the basis of my SAE project where I need around 200 hours or more? It's all about plant science research and me researching about trial and error experiments. 

Some ideas I have are: 

•  Hydroponics (can a plant grow in water with no soil involved?)
•  Different types of soil (sand vs. soil?)
•  Different types of seeds (which will grow faster?)
• What are the effects of acid rain on plant growth?
• Do household detergents affect plant growth
• Does cigarette smoke affect plant growth?
• Does soil temperature affect root growth?
• Does caffeine affect plant growth?
• How are plants affected by the distance between them?
• How does the pH of soil relate to the pH of the water around the soil? 
• How close does a plant have to be to a pesticide for it to work?
• What is the effect of a chemical on a plant?

But this is just a draft, more ideas will come.
